LISTENING PARTY

8/11/24: Madame Zuzu's (the cafe that Billy Corgan owns) was hosting a listening party for thier 2001 greatest hits album "Rotten Apples" to celebrate its release on vinyl for the first time. I got there to a relativly small crowd. mostly 40 somethings who remembered MCIS coming out when they were in thier teens. god, is this the audiance for most of the bands i like? anyways, I got some food at the cafe, everything is fuckin vegan for some reason so i got a large pretzel. It was okay. I also got a shirt at the little pop up stand they had. It's pretty cool, it basically says how I feel everyday

Anyways, the show started, everyone sat down, and they just played the music videos for all the songs on a projecter they set up aimed at a wall, great songs, and I had a pretty good time overall. The couple sitting infront of me kept making out nonstop, get a fucking room, Jesus. I find it pretty ironic that a band with songs like "Today" which is about suicide, is being listened to by some stupid lovey dovy couples. Yuck. Another couple, they were maybe like 18 or 19 years old, were just on thier phones 90% of the time, I mean, whats the point of buying tickets for this if you're just gonna stare at your phone? what posers.
